Statement on Needle Incident at Sycamore Elementary School
I posted this personal statement on Facebook September 25, I understand not everyone has Facebook and wanted to share here for anyone visiting my page to access the information.
"I am deeply concerned by the recent incident involving a child being pricked by a needle in our community. This is a stark reminder of the urgent need to address the safety issues that are affecting our neighborhood.
I personally took a walk around the premises and through the path down to Aspen Crt this evening to get a sense of the area and to provide an extra set of eyes for any more needles.
I am disappointed that this is what our community has come to. Residents have been saying this has been an issue for months and their concerns have gone unheard. Every individual deserves to feel safe and our children need to be protected. It is my goal to work towards a solution that benefits all. I am committed to collaborating with local authorities and community members to explore potential solutions and address the safety concerns that have been raised."
